Be Still and Know

I started journaling in second grade and over the next FOUR decades, it has been a consistent part in my life. I used to have separate journals for personal journaling, post-its with lessons from finance books, notes from sermons, scattered throughout the house, and worksheets from various bible studies and small groups paperclipped in.

But now I have created the ALL IN ONE “Be Still and Know” journal. It has simple prompts and lined paper so that it can be used for sermon notes, personal bible study time, small groups, prayer teams just to name a few. It can be used for secular book studies, webinars, social book clubs. With this tool, I can only carry ONE journal across all areas of my life. And at the end of journal, I LOVE looking back and reflecting on how much I’ve learned, how much I’ve grown, and how much God has worked in my life.

Here are the various ways in which you can utilize this companion:

  1. Personal Study:

    • Use the journal as a dedicated space to explore spiritual texts, teachings, and wisdom traditions. Record your insights, questions, and interpretations as you engage with sacred scriptures or inspirational literature.

    • Incorporate reflective exercises, such as meditation prompts or gratitude practices, to deepen your understanding and apply spiritual principles to your daily life.

    • Set goals for your personal study journey and track your progress over time, celebrating milestones and moments of breakthrough.

  2. Bible Studies / Small Group Resource:

    • Utilize the journal to record insights gained from group discussions, sermons, or additional readings, fostering a collaborative and enriching study experience.

    • Every page includes a space for prayer requests, testimonies, and reflections on how the lessons learned from scripture are shaping your spiritual growth and relationship with the divine.

  3. Sermon Notes:

    • No more taking sermon notes on the back of the bulletins!

    • Having ONE dedicated journal will allow you to document the continuity of inspiring messages, and thereby revealing profound truths for personal reflection and application.

    • Organize sermon outlines, key scriptures, and memorable quotes in ONE place. Creating a repository of wisdom and inspiration to draw upon in times of need or during moments of spiritual growth.

    • Having ONE place to note all the sermon reflections resonate with your heart, mind, and soul, allows you to discern the divine guidance and transformative insights embedded within each teaching.

One-Stop Journaling Hub:

By adopting the one-stop journal as your spiritual companion, you embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery, enlightenment, and empowerment. Whether you’re exploring the depths of scripture, reflecting on sermons, or simply seeking clarity and healing in your spiritual walk, the Be Still and Know Journal reminds us that journaling is one way to chart our spiritual growth as we learn more about God.

As for now, happy journaling and take care!

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
